FAQs
Do you have to disassemble parts during the dry ice cleaning process?
Never, that’s the beauty of our dry ice systems. The only thing we remove from the vehicle is the wheels to ensure there are never any ‘idiot’ marks on factory or OEM parts. Our motto is “if you can see it, we can clean it.”
Can the dry ice hurt the paint?
If it is good paint, our technology will never hurt it. Dry ice cleaning is an extremely gentle process, the only time paint would come off is if there is harmful oxidation underneath it. In this case, you would want to address this so that it does not lead to further issues down the road.
How long does it take?
We generally like to have the car for 1-2 days. The process itself can take anywhere from 2-18 hours depending on several factors including vehicle size, how ‘dirty’ the car is, and what options you choose.
Will dry ice remove rust?
Our technology will certainly remove any surface rust, however it is not capable of resolving oxidation that has already set deep into the metal.
Is dry ice cleaning similar to sand blasting?
Dry ice cleaning is very different from sand blasting. Sand blasting is a very abrasive process that requires parts to be disassemble in order to be blasted. Our process is incredibly gentle and will not harm any original parts / materials. Our technology is so gentle that it’s even safe to use around thin electrical wires and components.
Anything dry ice can’t do?
The only surface that we will not use dry ice on is leather due to the fact that leather is known to crack if its gets too cold. All other known materials (including alcantara) are safe and approved for cleaning with our proprietary methods.
THE SHOP.
Our dry ice cleaning system runs solely off compressed air and ultra soft 3mm dry ice pellets. Our 40hp air compressor is without a doubt the best on the market.
The air produced runs through this first 240gal tank which consists of several filters throughout it, capturing the majority of the moisture in the compressed air.
The air then runs through our Nano desiccant dryer which catches the remaining moisture. This supplies our second 240gal tank with nothing but the driest cool air imaginable.
